Our Philosophy

The music ministry at Summit Baptist Church exists to provide an environment where every believer can develop a lifestyle of personal worship, participate in dynamic corporate worship and where non-believers are confronted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a creative and compelling way.

Our Vision

“To know God and to make Him known”. The Worship Choir and Orchestra Choir is made up of people who are committed to worshiping God in every area of our lives. When you join this choir and orchestra you don’t just bring your voice. You bring your heart and your passion to praise the Lord. We welcome NEW members all year long and would love for you to join us! No audition required to join! When you come to choir and orchestra, you bring your spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality and experience which makes our choir a unique body. In music, the level of talent may vary widely, but the passion and desire is the same for all. Our goal is to know God and to make Him known!

Worship Choir and Orchestra

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings in the Sanctuary from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Praising Hands

Praising Hands is our music and worship signing ministry. This is offered to youth (6th grade and up) and adults. New members are always welcome! No experience is necessary. Our team meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Youth Girls and ladies Ensemble ~ (currently not meeting)

Ages 6th through 12th grade and ladies of all ages.

We meet on Sundays at 4:00 pm in the Sanctuary.

Girls and Ladies Ensemble is a unique group just for girls and ladies to continue growing with their vocal training, learning to blend and harmonize as we sing old favorites and new worship songs.

kids Choir ~

(CURRENTLY NOT MEETING)

Ages 1st through 5th grade.

Our Kid’s Choir is a great group who will focus on learning songs of praise and learning to read music. This is a great time for children to grow musically and fall in love with singing songs for Jesus. Kids Choir meets on Sundays at 5:00 pm in Building 200.

Preschool Choir ~

(CURRENTLY NOT MEETING)

Ages 3 years through Kindergarten.

Our Preschool Choir will focus on playing hand bells, learning about other instruments, as well as singing songs of praise with and without motions! Preschool Choir meets on Sundays at 4:30 pm in Building 200.
